As the idea for an event sparks, it’s easy to get carried away. You can just imagine people flocking from miles around and having the time of their lives. Whether it’s a music event for thousands of people, a summer fayre for more modest numbers or anything in between, there’s no getting away from it; it’s an exciting time.
The preparation of your venue is fundamental for success, and if you don’t take care of the basics first – the event facilities, your event will be over before it has even begun.
Accommodating staff and performers/guests
These people are vital for the smooth running of your event. They will help your vision come to life and they will need a base in order to do so. Portable offices and spaces that can provide running water and heating are available in a variety of shapes and sizes and can provide a hub for your staff to ensure that they are able to complete the jobs required of them.
Meeting the basic welfare needs of your visitors
You want people to have the best time possible at your event. To enable them to do that, you need to provide them with the basics and make them comfortable. Ask yourself: what are the things my visitors will simply take for granted? Because if they’re not there – your event will be remembered but for all the wrong reasons!
Toilet facilities are one of those things that no one wants to talk about, but that everyone uses. You will need to make sure that you have enough to meet the needs of the number of people at your event. A variety of facilities are available, including the traditional portable toilets, disabled access toilets and blocks of urinals to reduce the amount of queue time. If you are looking for a touch of class, luxury toilets may be for you. These can include full length mirrors and a hand wash area providing a home-from-home!
With so many options available, you can be sure that you are catering for the people attending your event.
So… event facilities. Exciting? Glamorous? Not really. Essential? Without a doubt.
